17./ Home is where the heart is. So what of the homeless?

By bird_lovegod | 28 January 19 03:21pm | Good Deeds

I always want to help homeless people. It makes me sad, the idea of someone not having a home. They say home is where the heart is … and some of the people on the streets, they’re just broken hearted. And being on the street, I think they stay that way. And they use drugs and drink to hide from the pain of life.

It does it makes me sad.

So. I try to help when I can. I saw this charity tin, on a bar in Leeds, and I thought to put a quid in. Then I ummmed and arrrred and didn’t know what to do. Does it make a difference?

I decided to give £1, and to share the story here, and just to use the opportunity to promote the little charity, Simon on the Streets, they do good work in Leeds, and Huddersfield. I think small local charities are better at this than big ones, that have huge overheads and offices in London and so on.

I hope my £1 helps someone.
