There’s fake, then there’s fake fake.
For fakes sake…
I’m talking about instagram, you probably knew that, from the use of the word ‘fake’. I’ve just been reading an article on GQ about ‘wannabe influencers’ who fake adverts. These are different to the ‘influencers’ who post product placements without declaring them as advertising, ie fake authentic posts, these are the next stage backward to that, non influencers who want to be influencers who post #adverts that actually aren’t adverts at all.
The promoted brands haven’t asked or paid the non influencers to do it. Nor ever will they, unless OMG what if they do, what if ‘Fake it till you make it’ is actually a route to market.
