Phage. Sometimes called bacteriophage, are viruses that attack bacteria. They’re highly specific to which bacteria they kill, and can be used to treat drug resistant infections.

It’s nothing new. Phage have been known for many decades, they were in competition with antibiotics for the go to cure for bacteria infections. As they were so specific, and antibiotics so generically effective, the phage got sidelined.
