Art. Good for the soul. Is that why our Government is blind to it?

There’s something about art that feeds the soul, nurtures it, both the creating of art, and the ‘consumption’ of it.

Civilisations are dependent on it. There are no civilisations without art. The art is what survives.

One can measure the rightness of an authority by its attitude to art.

Does it encourage it? Censor it? Destroy it? Inhibit it?

Our Government undervalues it, miss values it, weighs it against coin, rather than spirit.
