24./ Just a kindness

By bird_lovegod | 21 March 19 03:12pm | Good Deeds

Strolling thorough town, realised I hadn’t eaten since a few slices of toast at breakfast. The lure of a sausage roll.

There’s a Greggs, OK, you have me.

There’s someone begging outside, I’m unsure if they’re male or female. Maybe they’re not. I ask if they need anything.

Something to eat… no … a drink.

OK, I go in. What’s the best drink for this person? I settle on the most expensive, Lucozade, and I have this memory of twenty years ago when it was marketed as a health drink, for when you’re poorly.

Here you go. God bless.

And I eat my sausage roll.
