24./ Just a kindness
Strolling thorough town, realised I hadn’t eaten since a few slices of toast at breakfast. The lure of a sausage roll.
There’s a Greggs, OK, you have me.
There’s someone begging outside, I’m unsure if they’re male or female. Maybe they’re not. I ask if they need anything.
Something to eat… no … a drink.
OK, I go in. What’s the best drink for this person? I settle on the most expensive, Lucozade, and I have this memory of twenty years ago when it was marketed as a health drink, for when you’re poorly.
