921 Mary And Peter Part Three
The final good deed for Mary and baby Peter was the provision of a pram and carry cot. A good one actually, it all worked and fitted together and folded up and opened out as it should.
I got the pram by putting a request out on Next Door app, and a mother from Nether Edge got in touch, offering this one for £80.
I think it was 2 good deeds in one, helping the family who were selling it, and really helping Mary and Peter. Mary told me he has various baby check-ups and doctors’ appointments and not having a pram makes it really hard to go anywhere or do anything. This gift will be a great benefit, it’s a necessity, and I was pleased to be able to bless them both with it.
People also suggested we get in touch with Baby Basics, a charity that can provide further support, if Mary will let me refer her, which she’s hesitant to do. She want’s to be independent, I kindly told her that no one is independent, and to receive help from wherever God sends it.
Thank you very much indeed to all you supporters who give by direct debit each month.
You might think it’s a small amount of money, but together we’ve changed the life of a baby and young mother, and been the answer to prayers. That’s a gift beyond value. When someone in need prays for help, and God answers those prayers through us, the person who prayed knows God has heard them and answered them, and that increases their faith, it strengthens their trust in God. It is how life should be. We pray to God, he answers through our brothers and sisters, we thank God, and the miracle of life in Christ is lived each day. Love God. Love one another.
This is what Jesus taught, and what we together have done here.
Thank you. And Amen.
