He’s a gentle soul this one, and last month he told me his girlfriend had cancer, and was about to go into hospital. He says she’s now OK, and I think that means she doesn’t need chemo or anything, which is a relief and a blessing. I like shopping for him. Amongst other things, bought him a lamb shank, which are really nice, plus a pork whirl, (long sausage!) plus burgers and chocolate spread and chicken drumsticks to cook in a mild curry sauce. Or glaze with honey.
