326. He keeps saying we are a ‘God Send’.

He hasn’t been out of his flat for two months, elderly chap, and he received one of our cards offering help about six months ago, kept it, and got in touch when things got harder during the November lockdown. He’s always so grateful, and can’t quite believe that we do what we do, bring him whatever shopping he asks for, which is always really modest, and there’s no charge. He always says, You’re a God send’, and he really means it, and I find it a bit emotional every time, to be honest. It’s a very deep and real appreciation, and it really shows what this service means to some people.
