Sheffield trees saved

There’s been a long running battle to save hundreds of street trees in the green city of Sheffield. Finally peace has been declared, and the trees saved. It was the Bishop of Sheffield who ultimately brokered the peace deal between protesting residents and the council.

Well done everyone for listening to one another and then doing the right thing.

Let us remember it was due to a small number of people standing up, and in some instances being arrested, that lead to the halt of the destruction and ultimately the peaceful conclusion.
