January 2026. Food support bought and delivered to a persecuted Christian. Sheffield 893
I’ll be vague for obvious reasons. He was living in an estate where there are many muslims, and the gentleman himself is from a muslim country. When the other residents discovered he had become a Christian they engaged in 3 year persecution campaign against him, continuous harassment, threats, and so forth. Being a good Christian, he tried to love his neighbours, but these people are basically radicalised and despite his best efforts to make peace, they saw his kindness and meekness as weakness to be attacked.
He’s now moved from the area, and we will take him food once a month, and extend the hand of friendship.
By the way, have a look at what we bought him… salmon, sirloin steaks, one of those really expensive corn fed chickens! … He deserves it. I’m not sure what the people who persecuted him deserve. But even so, if one of them phoned or texted us for food support, we would deliver, like we do. One of the luxuries of running a kindness club is being able to step outside of politics and disputes and anger and just do the most loving thing possible. Mind you, if I was called to deliver to one of those persecutors, I would tell them it was bought in part by Christians. Just as food for thought for them. To be fair, it’s usually only converts they persecute. And yes, this happens in Sheffield.
