558. He phones from a free phone in town

You know the ones, the council installed them on the Moor and Fargate, they’re free to use phones built into advertising billboards I think. Anyway, he doesn’t have a phone right now. So he phoned for a delivery and said he would be in all day, which he was. He’ll buy himself a cheap little phone when he gets paid. Which means giro day, or whatever it’s called these days..? Universal Credit day?

Had the feeling to buy him a couple of toothbrushes and toothpaste. It’s the kind of thing people end up going without, when they cant manage their money and live chaotically on benefits.
