Muylen, one of the founders of Ethical Much, lives in Sheffield but is from Cambodia, and she enables Ethical Much to directly connect with and provide for people in poverty in her home country. We sent this man $50, by Western Union, to cover expenses for food, and for medical treatment. Here are his own words, translated…

“My name is Sara Bunchantha, 42 years old. Every day, I live in Siem Reap province, working as a tricycle driver.

I am a widow and live with a dependent daughter, 9 years old, who is in the 3rd grade. I rent a house with my daughter, and I have been suffering from a chronic illness for over 3 years, namely severe diabetes. My situation is currently difficult in every way, both financially, with illness, and with work. For a while now, the war with Thailand has caused me to experience a severe economic crisis, with a decline in tourists visiting Cambodia, loss of daily income, high expenses on daily food, expenses for my children’s education, and other medical expenses, including this wound to my foot from standing on a nail whilst trying to fish.

Every day, my children and I pray to Jesus to show us a good path in life, especially for my daughter. He has helped me and my daughter every day. He has helped me meet only good people.”
