11. To 55 years old Cyclo driver in Phnom Penh

Soun Try, 55 years old, comes from Svay Rieng province. He has 8 family members. He has lived in Phnom Penh since 1997 and has been working as a Cyclo rider at Psar Kandal, Phnom Penh.

He doesn’t have a house and sleeps in front of someone’s house every night. Before Covid-19 pandemic, he can earn between 10,000 Riels to 20,000 Riels (about $2.5 to $5) per day.  He can save some money and send to his family at the province but now it is very hard. It’s almost zero. It’s been nearly 18 months with hardship situation because of Covid-19 and people prefer to choose three-wheeled taxi ( PassApp, Grab, TADA,…..) which is more comfortable and fast than Cyclo.
