I do acts of kindness when I see the opportunity, and also, on Saturdays, go in search for them. Today, a rainy 7th of February, I went to Broomhill to see if I could do something to help the man that sits in the doorway on the precinct where you used to be able to park before the council over reacted to covid social distancing. Anyway, our man was there, so I chatted with him and asked if he needed anything. “Just a latte please”. I offered more, something to eat, gloves… but no, he has those, all he needed was a latte. I bought one from the pork sandwich shop next door, they added 3 sugars, already knowing how he likes it. I asked his name, Steve, and he was happy. Just a latte. And next time you’re in Broomhill, say hello to Steve. You know how he likes his coffee.
