786. Chicken dinner plus

This lady can cook nicely, so I delivered her a chicken to roast, and all the veg and trimmings, and a selection of necessities and the ingredients for a bolognese, and sweet potatoes, and fruit, and bread. It’s so noticeable how food costs have increased, shopping in Aldi every week they’ve clearly gone up by about 50% in the last 18 months, eggs for example, used to be 85p or thereabouts, now they’re £1.29. Onions used to be 50p, now they’re 89p. At some point I’ll dig out the receipts from a couple of years ago and do a comparison.
