This parcel doesn’t relate to the receipt, and we received cash as the donation, which also means there isn’t a bank transaction to cross reference against. And we ended up having to juggle together the STC food parcels and our own… Sometimes one just has to do what needs to be done and then try to piece together how afterwards. The important thing is that people get fed. And they can count on us. And donors, we always spend at least 100% of your money on point of need. Normally we are really spot on with the admin, it’s not hard, but for various contributory reasons it melted down on this occasion. You have our apologies.
Moving forward, we are changing how we do things. From September our magazine will be available to subscribe to. It costs £15 every 2 months, and we add £5 from every £15 into a collective pot. This way, the pot gets bigger every edition, and the good deeds and interventions get bigger and more exciting and diverse, and that makes the magazine more exciting and innovative every edition. And the system scales. It’s hard to keep track of even a few donors and how exactly we use the money, so this new system will make us super streamlined and everyone gets a magazine to see the good we do together.
