Feb 28th Uganda #15 We send Silviano £60 for charcoal and food for his family.

It’s rainy season in Uganda and everything is more expensive, including charcoal, which is what everyone in rural Uganda uses for fuel for cooking. Silviano had run out, so we sent £60, which equates to 255,550 UX, Ugandan shilling.

Here’s what he bought, the big bag is the charcoal, and a measure of potatoes next to it.

Also cassava and some greens …. and banana.
