February 9th 2026. Perfect timing for a small act of kindness. Sheffield 897.

I was in the Tesco’s on Eccy road and there happened to be a homeless chap in the self service queue in front of me. He was buying 2 packets of strawberry desserts. I asked if I could buy them for him, he said yes, so I did. Got a 60p saving in my club card as well 🙂

He told me his name is Gary.
I told him that if ever he sees me and needs a little help to just ask.

We shook hands and that was that.

Just a trifle really.
